Other Names:
Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1; IRAK-1; IRAK1; IRAK;
Application Data:
Phospho-IRAK1-S376 Antibody

The anti-Phospho-IRAK1-S376 Pab (Cat. #AP3139a) is used in Western blot to detect Phospho-IRAK1-S376 in mouse kidney tissue lysate

Phospho-IRAK1-S376 Antibody

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue reacted with Phospho-IRAK1-S376 Antibody(Cat.#AP3139a), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Background:
IRAK1 binds to the IL-1 type I receptor following IL-1 engagement, triggering intracellular signaling cascades leading to transcriptional up-regulation and mRNA stabilization. Isoform 1 binds rapidly but is then degraded allowing isoform 2 to mediate a slower, more sustained response to the cytokine. Isoform 2 is inactive suggesting that the kinase activity of this enzyme is not required for IL-1 signaling. Once phosphorylated, IRAK1 recruits the adapter protein PELI1. This protein is partially responsible for IL1-induced upregulation of the transcription factor NF-kappa B.

ELISA1:1,000
Western blotting1:100~500
Immunohistochemistry1:10~50
Format:
Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is first purified by protein G affinity chromatography. Then, the antibody fraction is peptide affinity purified in a 2-step procedure with control and phosphorylated peptides. The phospho-specific antibody is eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
Storage:
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.
Precautions:
This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
