|Target/Specificity||Rabbit anti-Human CD193 antibody recognizes human CD193, otherwise known as CC chemokine receptor 3 (CCR3), a seven-helix transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor which, along with CCR5andCXCR4, acts as a principal receptor for the fusion and entry of HIV into target cells. CD193 is expressed by eosinophils, basophils, mast cells, microglia, Th2 helper cells and some epithelial cells.CD193 acts as a receptor for several CC chemokines including monocyte chemoattractant proteins (MCP) -1, -2, -3 and -4, MIP-1a, MIP-1ß, and RANTES. The eotaxin subgroup of CC chemokines act as specific agonists for CD193, and this interaction has become a focus area for studies into the infection of microglia by HIV (He, J. et al.1997) and allergy research (Holse, M. et al.2006).Rabbit anti-Human CD193 antibody has been used successfully for the detection of human CD193 by immunohistochemistry on formalin fixed, paraffin embedded intervertebral disc tissue (Gruberet al.2014).|
