|Target/Specificity||Rabbit anti-human protein kinase c zeta polyclonal antibody recognizes PKCζ a serine/threonine kinase involved in a variety of cell processes including differentiation and proliferation. PKCζ activation is involved in the mitogen-activated protein kinase cascade, transcriptional factor NFkB activation, ribosomal S6-protein kinase signalling, and cell polarity. Work by Ma.et al. in mice has indicated that inhibition of expression of PHGDH by PKCζ acts at a tumor supressor and that loss of PKCζ allows tumor cells to proliferate under glucose deprived conditions leading to poor prognosis.Rabbit anti-human protein kinase c zeta detects an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of PKCζ. PKCζ is a member of the atypical PKC subfamily. PKCζ may also be a potential therapeutic target in asthma, and a putative role in other pulmonary diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).|
