|Application ||WB, E|
|Purification||Antisera to advanced glycated end products were raised by repeated immunisations of goats with highly purified antigen.|
|Immunogen||Glycated modified protein|
|Shelf Life||18 months from date of despatch.|
|Target/Specificity||ABD10966 recognizes a variety of advanced glycated end product (AGE) epitopes. Glycation is the post-translational modification of proteins, linking a reducing sugar to an amino group on a protein. AGEs are thought to be involved in structural and functional alterations of proteins observed in aging and diabetes. AGEs recognised by ABD10966 include carboxymethyllysine and pentosidine. Increases in pentosidine levels are associated with aging, diabetes, cataracts, renal diseases, chronic rheumatoid arthritis, photaged skin and Alzheimers disease. Carboxymethyllysine is involved in uracemia.|
|Preservative & Stabilisers||0.1% Sodium Azide (NaN3)|
|Storage||Store at +4℃ or at -20 ℃.|
|Precautions||Anti-Advanced Glycated End Products Antibody (Serum) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
