|Target/Specificity||ABD11011 detects estrogen-related receptor gamma (ERR gamma), a member of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily. The fasting-induced coactivator protein PGC-1a has been shown to activate the ERR gamma, and together these proteins have a major role in the regulation of ERR alpha gene expression and energy homeostasis. ERR gamma and alpha are co-expressed in high energy demanding tissues such as skeletal muscle heart and kidney, and have been suggested to function in their differentiation. ERR gamma has also been shown to be over-expressed in breast tumours, and has been suggested to be a potential biomarker for favourable clinical course and hormonal sensitivity.|
