|Purification||Antiserum to human Precerebellin was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.|
|Immunogen||A peptide corresponding to an 16 amino acid sequence from near the carboxy terminus of human Precerebellin.|
|Shelf Life||18 months from date of despatch.|
|Other Names||Cerebellin-1, Precerebellin, Cerebellin, CER, [des-Ser1]-cerebellin, CBLN1|
|Target/Specificity||ABD11105 recognises human Precerebellin also known as Cerebellin-1, CBLN1 or Cerebellin precursor, a secreted membrane protein with a predicted molecular weight of 21kDa.Precerebellin is required for synapse integrity and synaptic plasticity and for the ER export and secretion of CBLN3. Precerebellin exerts neuromodulatory functions including directly stimulating norepinephrine release via the adenylate cyclase/PKA-dependent signaling pathway; and indirectly enhances adrenocortical secretion in vivo, through a paracrine mechanism involving medullary catecholamine release. Research indicates that Precerebellin may also be involved in a wider range of functions than have been so far demonstrated.|
