Other Names Neurexin-1, Neurexin I-alpha, Neurexin-1-alpha, NRXN1, KIAA0578
Target/Specificity ABD11111 specifically recognises an epitope within the C-terminal (CT) region of human Neurexin 1 (NRXN1), a transmembrane neuronal protein and member of the neurexin family, which act as cell adhesion molecules and receptors within the vertebrate nervous system.NRXN1 exists in many distinct isoforms, the majority of which encode the longer alpha-neurexins generated using an upstream promoter, whilst fewer encode the shorter beta-neurexins, generated using a downstream promoter. Alpha-neurexins have been shown to bind with high affinity to the neuronal protein neurexophilin, whilst neuroligin 1, enriched in synaptic plasma membranes, has been identified as a splice site-specific ligand for beta-neurexins.
Preservative & Stabilisers 0.02% Sodium Azide (NaN3); 0.5% Bovine Serum Albumin;
Storage Store at +4℃ or at -20 ℃.
