|Other Names||Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 7, 126.96.36.199, Transforming growth factor-beta-activated kinase 1, TGF-beta-activated kinase 1, MAP3K7, TAK1|
|Target/Specificity||Goat anti-Human TAK1 antibodyrecognizes human Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 7, also known as TAK1, Transforming growth factor-beta-activated kinase 1 or MAP3K7. TAK1 is a 606 amino acid ~67 kDa serine threonine kinase, an essential component of the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway.Four potential isoforms of TAK1, caused by alternative splicing have been identified. Goat anti-Human TAK1 antibody is expected to bind the canonical isoform 1B, expressed mainly in the brain, kidney and small intestine. Goat anti-Human TAK1 antibody is also expected to recognize isoform 1a, expressed mainly in ovary, skeletal muscle, spleen and blood mononuclear cells. The antibody is not however expected to recognize the alternatively spliced isoforms 1c and 1d, both of which lack the c-terminal portion of TAK1 including the region covering the immunogen sequence used to generate this Goat anti-Human TAK1 antibody (aa 552-564. UniProt : O43318).|
