|Target/Specificity||Rabbit anti-Human SMC1 antibody recognizes human structural maintenance of chromosomes-1 (SMC1) which is phosphorylated at Ser957.SMC1 forms a heterodimer with SMC3, and is involved in sister chromatid cohesion and in DNA recombination and repair. SMC1 can be phosphorylated by ATM on serines 957 and 966 in vitroandin vivo in response to ionizing radiation (Kimet al.2002). SMC1 also acts as a downstream effector in the ATM/NBS1 pathway of S-phase checkpoint (Yazdiet al.2002).|
