|Target/Specificity||Rabbit anti-SARS Spike Protein antibody recognizes theSARS (Severe acute respiratory syndrome) Spike glycoprotein. The Spike protein is a 1242 amino acid ~135 kDa single pass type I transmembrane membrane protein and functions in adhesion to host cells, where it binds to Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (Turneret al.2004). The amino terminal region folds to a globular shape, forming the characteristic spike structure and contains the binding site for ACE2 (Duet al2009).|
