|Target/Specificity||Rabbit anti-phosphorylated GluR1 antibody recognizes rat glutamate receptor subunit 1 (GluR1) when phosphorylated at serine 845. GluR1, widely expressed throughout the nervous system, is a component of AMPA receptors (alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxalone propionic acid receptors), which play a key role at excitatory synapses. Phosphorylation of Ser831 and Ser845 is reported to potentiate GluR1 function, suggesting a possible role in synaptic plasticity, learning and memory.|
