|Calculated MW||85731 Da|
|Immunogen||Balb/c macrophage precursor cell hybrids|
|Other Names||Transferrin receptor protein 1, TR, TfR, TfR1, Trfr, CD71, Tfrc, Trfr|
|Target/Specificity||Rat anti-Mouse CD71 antibody, clone ER-MP21 recognizes murine CD71, a 200kD antigen which is otherwise known as transferrin receptor. CD71 is expressed by all proliferating cell populations and exists as a homodimer at the cell surface.Clone ER-MP21 inhibits iron uptake and cell proliferation but does not compete with transferrin for binding to its receptor, which suggests that clone ER-MP21 binds to an epitope that is different from the transferrin-binding site (Leenenet al.1990).|
|Precautions||Anti-Mouse CD71 Antibody, clone ER-MP21 is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
