Target/Specificity Mouse anti-Human Urotensin II antibody, clone UII-9 detects Urotensin II (U-II), a cyclic heptapeptide that functions both as a potent vasoconstrictor and a neurotransmitter/neuromodulator. U-II circulates in the plasma as a zymogen, and is activated by the urotensin converting enzyme. U-II is the endogenous ligand for the G-protein coupled receptor 14 (GPR14), recently renamed the UT receptor. Changes in the expression of U-II and its receptor have been associated with cardiovascular and renal diseases, including atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, and diabetic nephropathy.
Preservative & Stabilisers 0.09% Sodium Azide
Storage Store at +4℃ or at -20 ℃.
