Target/Specificity Rabbit anti-human Defensinβ-3 polyclonal antibody specifically recognizes human defensin beta 3 (BD-3), a 45aa ~5kDa cationic non-haemolytic antimicrobial peptide expressed by epithelial cells and member of the beta-defensin family. Defensin beta 3 is highly expressed in the skin and tonsils and at lower levels in other tissues(Harderet al.2001).Defensin beta 3 plays an important role in the innate immune response to potentially pathogenic microbes, including multiresistantS. aureus and vancomycin-resistant E. faecium.
Preservative & Stabilisers Preservative Free
Storage Prior to reconstitution store at +4℃. Following reconstitution store at -20℃.
PrecautionsAnti-Human Defensin beta 3 Antibody is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
