Background
Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) contains two isoforms in mammals, LDH-M and LDH-H, which come together to form a homotetramer of 36 kDa subunits. LDH is often as a marker for tissue breakdown or cytotoxicity. LDH shows cytoplasm localization.
