Application & Usage | Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes ~35 kDa BLAME in Western blot analysis. A 28 kDa cleaved fragment and a 70 kDa glycosylated BLAME can also be detected. Reactivity to other species has not been tested. |

Background
BLAME (B Lymphocyte Activator Macrophage Expressed) also called SLAMF8. BLAME is a type I transmembrane protein that belongs to the CD2 family of Ig superfamily receptors. BLAME is mostly expressed on macrophages and dendritic cells.
