Background

MIP-1β (macrophage inflammatory protein-1β) is a 69-amino acid CC chemokine with a molecular weight of 7.8 kDa. MIP-1β induces migration of monocytes/macrophages, and activates CD4+ cells, but not NK cells and eosinophils.
