|Calculated MW||26350 Da|
|Application & Usage||Western blotting (0.5-1 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody detects human LIGHT. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.|
|Other Names||Tumor necrosis factor ligand, TNF14, TNF 14, TNF-14|
|Formulation||100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) antigen affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Handling||The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||LIGHT Antibody is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Cytokine that binds to TNFRSF3/LTBR. Binding to the decoy receptor TNFRSF6B modulates its effects. Activates NFKB, stimulates the proliferation of T-cells, and inhibits growth of the adenocarcinoma HT-29. Acts as a receptor for Herpes simplex virus.|
|Cellular Location||Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 14, membrane form: Cell membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein Isoform 2: Cytoplasm.|
|Tissue Location||Predominantly expressed in the spleen but also found in the brain. Weakly expressed in peripheral lymphoid tissues and in heart, placenta, liver, lung, appendix, and kidney, and no expression seen in fetal tissues, endocrine glands, or nonhematopoietic tumor lines|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
LIGHT is a type II membrane protein belonging to the TNF family of membrane-anchored ligands. It is expressed in splenocytes, activated PBL, CD8+ tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, granulocytes and monocytes. LIGHT has the ability to activate NFkB, stimulate proliferation of lymphocytes, and induce apoptosis in certain human tumor cells. LIGHT binds to three receptors; the herpes virus entry mediator type A receptor (HEVM), LTbR and a decoy receptor (DcR3).
