|Application ||WB, E|
|Other Accession||NP_001001563, 92609|
|Predicted||Mouse, Rat, Dog, Cow|
|Calculated MW||39646 Da|
|Other Names||Mitochondrial import inner membrane translocase subunit TIM50, TIMM50, TIM50|
|Format||0.5 mg IgG/ml in Tris saline (20mM Tris pH7.3, 150mM NaCl), 0.02% sodium azide, with 0.5% bovine serum albumin|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||Goat Anti-TIM50 Antibody is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Essential component of the TIM23 complex, a complex that mediates the translocation of transit peptide-containing proteins across the mitochondrial inner membrane. Has some phosphatase activity in vitro; however such activity may not be relevant in vivo. Isoform 2 may participate in the release of snRNPs and SMN from the Cajal body.|
|Cellular Location||Mitochondrion inner membrane; Single-pass membrane protein|
|Tissue Location||Widely expressed. Expressed at higher level in brain, kidney and liver (at protein level)|
