|Format||0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||ABCE1 / RNase L Antibody (N-Term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Synonyms||RLI, RNASEL1, RNASELI, RNS4I|
|Function||Antagonizes the binding of 2-5A (5'-phosphorylated 2',5'-linked oligoadenylates) by RNase L through direct interaction with RNase L and therefore inhibits its endoribonuclease activity. May play a central role in the regulation of mRNA turnover. Antagonizes the anti-viral effect of the interferon-regulated 2-5A/RNase L pathway. May act as a chaperone for post-translational events during HIV-1 capsid assembly.|
|Cellular Location||Cytoplasm. Mitochondrion. Note=Localized to clusters of virus formation at the plasma membrane|
