|Alias Symbol||MGC39581, TMEM146|
|Other Names||Cation channel sperm-associated protein subunit delta, CatSper-delta, CatSperdelta, Transmembrane protein 146, CATSPERD, TMEM146|
|Format||Liquid. Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||Add 50 ul of distilled water. Final anti-TMEM146 antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. For longer periods of storage, store at 20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||TMEM146 antibody - N-terminal region is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Auxiliary component of the CatSper complex, a complex involved in sperm cell hyperactivation. Sperm cell hyperactivation is needed for sperm motility which is essential late in the preparation of sperm for fertilization. Required for CATSPER1 stability before intraflagellar transport and/or incorporation of the CatSper complex channel into the flagellar membrane (By similarity).|
|Cellular Location||Cell projection, cilium, flagellum membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein Note=Specifically located in the principal piece of sperm tail|
