Reconstitution & Storage | Add 50 ul of distilled water. Final anti-CAPZA3 antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. For longer periods of storage, store at 20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles. |
Precautions | CAPZA3 antibody - N-terminal region is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. |
Name | CAPZA3 |
---|---|
Synonyms | CAPAA3, GSG3 |
Function | F-actin-capping proteins bind in a Ca(2+)-independent manner to the fast growing ends of actin filaments (barbed end) thereby blocking the exchange of subunits at these ends. Unlike other capping proteins (such as gelsolin and severin), these proteins do not sever actin filaments. May play a role in the morphogenesis of spermatid (By similarity). |
Tissue Location | Expressed exclusively in testis and sperm. Highest expression is found in the neck region of ejaculated sperm with lower levels found in the tail and postacrosome region |
