B-Myc is a member of the myc family of transcriptional regulators including c-myc, N-myc, L-myc and S-myc (1-2). Even though the biological role of B-myc has not yet been determined, B-myc has been show to inhibit c-myc function (3). B-myc is mostly expressed in the brain and protein expression in the adrenal gland, pituitary gland, mammary gland, ovary, and uterus suggest that its gene expression is associated with hormonally regulated tissues (4).
