|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||CCR7/CKR7 Antibody is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Synonyms||CMKBR7, EBI1, EVI1|
|Function||Receptor for the MIP-3-beta chemokine. Probable mediator of EBV effects on B-lymphocytes or of normal lymphocyte functions.|
|Cellular Location||Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.|
|Tissue Location||Expressed in various lymphoid tissues and activated B- and T-lymphocytes, strongly up-regulated in B-cells infected with Epstein-Barr virus and T-cells infected with herpesvirus 6 or 7|

CCR7, or C-C chemokine receptor type 7, is a G protein-coupled, seven-transmembrane domain receptor protein. Originally identified as the EBV-induced gene-1 (1), CCR7 was later found to be the receptor for the chemokines CCL21 (SLC, 6Ckine, Exodus-2) (3) and CCL19 (MIP-3, Exodus-3, ELC) (4). CCR7 is expressed in lymphoid tissues and activated B and T lymphocytes (2). It is up-regulated in B cells infected with Epstein-Barr virus and T cells infected with herpesvirus 6 or 7 (4).
