|Target/Specificity||A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues on the C-terminus of human HNRPUL1 was used as an immunogen.|
|Format||50 mM Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 0.15 M NaCl, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% sodium azide and 0.05% BSA.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||HNRPUL1 Antibody is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Acts as a basic transcriptional regulator. Represses basic transcription driven by several virus and cellular promoters. When associated with BRD7, activates transcription of glucocorticoid-responsive promoter in the absence of ligand- stimulation. Plays also a role in mRNA processing and transport. Binds avidly to poly(G) and poly(C) RNA homopolymers in vitro.|

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein U-like protein 1 (HNRPUL1) is a nuclear RNA binding protein belonging to hnRNP family.(1) HNRPUL1 interacts with adenovirus type 5 (Ad5) E1B-55 kDa, BRD7, HRMT1L1, TP53, and TAP. As a basic transcriptional regulator, HNRPUL1 represses basic transcription driven by various virus and cellular promoters. In association with BRD7, HNRPUL1 activates glucocorticoid-responsive promoter transcription in the absence of ligand-stimulation. HNRPUL1 might play an important role in nucleocytoplasmic mRNA processing and transport (2). Due to alternative splicing, five different isoform of HNRPUL1 exist.
