|Application ||WB, IHC-P, IF|
|Dilution||IHC-P (5 µg/ml), WB (1-2 µg/ml),|
|Other Names||Zinc transporter ZIP14, LIV-1 subfamily of ZIP zinc transporter 4, LZT-Hs4, Solute carrier family 39 member 14, Zrt- and Irt-like protein 14, ZIP-14, SLC39A14, KIAA0062, ZIP14|
|Target/Specificity||Human SLC39A14. At least three isoforms of ZIP14 are known to exist; this antibody will detect both isoforms. ZIP14 antibody is predicted to not cross-react with other ZIP family members.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles. Store undiluted.|
|Precautions||SLC39A14 / ZIP14 Antibody (Internal) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Broad-scope metal ion transporter with a preference for zinc uptake. Also mediates cellular uptake of nontransferrin-bound iron.|
|Cellular Location||Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cytoplasm. Cell projection, lamellipodium Note=Localized to the plasma membrane and also found colocalized with F-actin concentrated on lamellipodiae|
|Tissue Location||Expressed in liver and in brain by large neurons in the globus pallidus, the insular cortex and the dentate nucleus and to a lower extent in the putamen and the caudate nucleus (at protein level) (PubMed:27231142). Isoform 1 is ubiquitously expressed, with increased expression in liver, pancreas, fetal liver, thyroid gland, left and right ventricle, right atrium and fetal heart. Weakly expressed in spleen, thymus, and peripheral blood leukocytes (PubMed:15642354, PubMed:7584044, PubMed:27231142). Isoform 3 is widely expressed but not detected in brain, heart, skeletal muscle and fetal skin (PubMed:27231142)|
