|Application ||WB, IHC-P|
|Dilution||IHC-P (7.5 µg/ml), WB (1:500-1:3000),|
|Other Names||AarF domain-containing protein kinase 4, 2.7.11.-, ADCK4|
|Reconstitution & Storage||Keep as concentrated solution. Aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||ADCK4 Antibody (aa141-460) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Atypical kinase involved in the biosynthesis of coenzyme Q, also named ubiquinone, an essential lipid-soluble electron transporter for aerobic cellular respiration (PubMed:24270420). Its substrate specificity is unclear: does not show any protein kinase activity. Probably acts as a small molecule kinase, possibly a lipid kinase that phosphorylates a prenyl lipid in the ubiquinone biosynthesis pathway. Required for podocyte migration (PubMed:24270420).|
|Cellular Location||Mitochondrion membrane; Single-pass membrane protein. Cytoplasm, cytosol. Cell membrane|
|Tissue Location||Widely expressed, including renal podocytes.|
