Other Names
TUBB; TUBB5; Tubulin beta chain; Tubulin beta-5 chain
Target/Specificity
TBB5 recombinant protein is used to produce this monoclonal antibody.
Dilution
IHC~~1:10~50
WB~~1:100~500
IF~~1:10~50
Format
Purified monoclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein G column, eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Precautions
TBB5 Antibody is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

TBB5 Antibody - Protein Information

Name TUBB
Synonyms TUBB5
Function
Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules. It binds two moles of GTP, one at an exchangeable site on the beta chain and one at a non-exchangeable site on the alpha chain
Cellular Location
Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton.
Tissue Location
Ubiquitously expressed with highest levels in spleen, thymus and immature brain

TBB5 Antibody - Application data

  • Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human testis reacted with TBB5 Antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

  • Western blot analysis of anti-TBB5 Antibody (Cat. #AM1031a) in Y79,CEM,293 cell line and mouse brain tissue lysates (35ug/lane). TBB5(arrow) was detected using the purified Mab.(1ug/ml)

  • Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of TBB5 Antibody (Cat. #AM1031a) with Hela cell followed by PE-conjugated goat anti-mouse lgG (red). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).
