|Application ||WB, FC, E|
|Description||This gene is a member of the caudal-related homeobox transcription factor gene family. The encoded protein is a major regulator of intestine-specific genes involved in cell growth an differentiation. This protein also plays a role in early embryonic development of the intestinal tract. Aberrant expression of this gene is associated with intestinal inflammation and tumorigenesis.|
|Immunogen||Purified recombinant fragment of human CDX2 (AA: 176-303) expressed in E. Coli.|
|Formulation||Purified antibody in PBS with 0.05% sodium azide|
|Other Names||Homeobox protein CDX-2, CDX-3, Caudal-type homeobox protein 2, CDX2, CDX3|
WB~~1/500 - 1/2000
FC~~1/200 - 1/400
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||CDX2 Antibody is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Involved in the transcriptional regulation of multiple genes expressed in the intestinal epithelium. Important in broad range of functions from early differentiation to maintenance of the intestinal epithelial lining of both the small and large intestine. Binds preferentially to methylated DNA (PubMed:28473536).|

The protein encoded by this gene is a surface antigen that is preferentially expressed on monocytes/macrophages. It cooperates with other proteins to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein. ; ; ; ;
