|Application ||WB, E|
|Description||This gene encodes an intracellular calcium-binding protein belonging to the troponin C superfamily. Members of this protein family have six EF-hand domains which bind calcium. This protein plays a role in diverse cellular functions, including message targeting and intracellular calcium buffering. It also functions as a modulator of neuronal excitability, and is a diagnostic marker for some human diseases, including Hirschsprung disease and some cancers. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.|
|Immunogen||Purified recombinant fragment of human CALB2(AA: 1-271) expressed in E. Coli.|
|Formulation||Purified antibody in PBS with 0.05% sodium azide|
|Other Names||Calretinin, CR, 29 kDa calbindin, CALB2, CAB29|
WB~~1/500 - 1/2000
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||CALB2 Antibody is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Calretinin is a calcium-binding protein which is abundant in auditory neurons.|
