Other Names | Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 39, CCDC39 |
Target/Specificity | This CCDC39 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 770-798 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CCDC39. |
Dilution | WB~~1:1000 |
Format | Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification. |
Storage | Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
Precautions | CCDC39 Antibody (C-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. |
Name | CCDC39 (HGNC:25244) |
---|---|
Function | Required for assembly of dynein regulatory complex (DRC) and inner dynein arm (IDA) complexes, which are responsible for ciliary beat regulation, thereby playing a central role in motility in cilia and flagella (PubMed:21131972). Probably acts together with CCDC40 to form a molecular ruler that determines the 96 nanometer (nm) repeat length and arrangements of components in cilia and flagella (By similarity). Not required for outer dynein arm complexes assembly (PubMed:21131972). |
Cellular Location | Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, cilium axoneme. Note=CCDC40 is required for localization to axonemes. |
Tissue Location | Mainly expressed in nasal brushings and, to a lesser extent, in lungs and testis. |
