|Application ||WB, IHC-P, E|
|Other Accession||NP_001091979.1, NP_055668.2|
|Calculated MW||113285 Da|
|Antigen Region||955-984 aa|
|Other Names||Small G protein signaling modulator 2, RUN and TBC1 domain-containing protein 1, SGSM2, KIAA0397, RUTBC1|
|Target/Specificity||This RUTBC1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 955-984 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human RUTBC1.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||RUTBC1 Antibody (C-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Possesses GTPase activator activity towards RAB32, RAB33B and RAB38 (PubMed:26620560, PubMed:21808068). Regulates the trafficking of melanogenic enzymes TYR, TYRP1 and DCT/TYRP2 to melanosomes in melanocytes by inactivating RAB32 and RAB38. Inhibits RAB32 and RAB38 activation both directly by promoting their GTPase activity and indirectly by disrupting the RAB9A-HPS4 interaction which is required for RAB32/38 activation (PubMed:26620560).|
|Cellular Location||Cytoplasm. Melanosome. Note=Melanosomal localization is mediated by RAB9A.|
|Tissue Location||Widely expressed.|
