|Application ||WB, E|
|Calculated MW||33838 Da|
|Antigen Region||88-117 aa|
|Other Names||Alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase alkB homolog 4, 11411-, Alkylated DNA repair protein alkB homolog 4, ALKBH4, ABH4|
|Target/Specificity||This ALKBH4 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 88-117 amino acids from the Central region of human ALKBH4.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||ALKBH4 Antibody (Center) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Dioxygenase that mediates demethylation of actin monomethylated at 'Lys-84' (K84me1), thereby acting as a regulator of actomyosin-processes. Demethylation of actin K84me1 is required for maintaining actomyosin dynamics supporting normal cleavage furrow ingression during cytokinesis and cell migration. May be involved in transcription regulation.|
|Cellular Location||Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Midbody. Note=Associates with the contractile ring and midbody|
|Tissue Location||Widely expressed, with highest expression in pancreas, ovary and spleen.|
