|Antigen Region||337-366 aa|
|Other Names||UDP-glucuronic acid decarboxylase 1, UDP-glucuronate decarboxylase 1, UGD, UXS-1, UXS1|
|Target/Specificity||This UXS1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 337-366 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human UXS1.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||UXS1 Antibody (C-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Catalyzes the NAD-dependent decarboxylation of UDP- glucuronic acid to UDP-xylose. Necessary for the biosynthesis of the core tetrasaccharide in glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis.|
|Cellular Location||Golgi apparatus, Golgi stack membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
UDP-glucuronate decarboxylase (UGD; EC 220.127.116.11) catalyzes the formation of UDP-xylose from UDP-glucuronate. UDP-xylose is then used to initiate glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis on the core protein of proteoglycans.
