Gene ID 56925
Other Names
LXN; Latexin; Endogenous carboxypeptidase inhibitor; Protein MUM; Tissue carboxypeptidase inhibitor
Target/Specificity
This Latexin antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 31~60 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human latexin.
Dilution
WB~~1:50~100
IHC~~1:10~50
Format
Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Precautions
Latexin Antibody (N-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

Latexin Antibody (N-term) - Application data

  • Western blot analysis of Latexin Antibody (N-term) (Cat.#AP1467a) in HL60 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). Latexin (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab (1:60 dilution).

  • Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human prostata carcinoma tissue reacted with Latexin antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

  • Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human Spleen tissue reacted with Latexin antibody (N-term)(Cat.#AP1467a), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

BACKGROUND

Latexin possesses nearly irreversible, non-competitive and potent inhibition of zinc-dependent metallocarboxypeptidases CPA1, CPA2, and CPA4. It is expressed in a neuronal subset in the cerebral cortex and cells in other neural and non-neural tissues of rat. Latexin plays a role in regional specification and/or morphogenesis of the forebrain.
