| Other Names ALDH3A2; ALDH10; FALDH; Fatty aldehyde dehydrogenase; Aldehyde dehydrogenase 10; Aldehyde dehydrogenase family 3 member A2; Microsomal aldehyde dehydrogenase | |
| Target/Specificity This ALDH3A2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 419~449 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human ALDH3A2. | |
| Dilution WB~~1:50~100WB~~1:1000 IHC~~1:10~50 | |
| Format Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is first purified by protein A affinity chromatography. Then, the antibody fraction is peptide affinity purified in a 2-step procedure with peptides. The antibody is eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS. | |
| Storage Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles. | |
| Precautions ALDH3A2 Antibody (C-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. | |

ALDH3A2 Antibody (C-term) - Application data
-
Western blot analysis of ALDH3A2 Antibody (C-term) (Cat.#AP1468b) in 293 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). ALDH3A2 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab (1:60 dilution).
-
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with *ALDH3A2 antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

BACKGROUND
Aldehyde dehydrogenase isozymes are thought to play a major role in the detoxification of aldehydes generated by alcohol metabolism and lipid peroxidation. ALDH3A2 catalyzes the oxidation of long-chain aliphatic aldehydes to fatty acid. Mutations in the ALDH3A2 gene cause Sjogren-Larsson syndrome.
