|Application ||WB, E|
|Calculated MW||101736 Da|
|Antigen Region||1-30 aa|
|Other Names||DNA ligase 1, DNA ligase I, Polydeoxyribonucleotide synthase [ATP] 1, LIG1|
|Target/Specificity||This LIG1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 1-30 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human LIG1.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||LIG1 Antibody (N-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||DNA ligase that seals nicks in double-stranded DNA during DNA replication, DNA recombination and DNA repair.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
LIG1 encodes DNA ligase I, with functions in DNA replication and the base excision repair process. Mutations in LIG1 that lead to DNA ligase I deficiency result in immunodeficiency and increased sensitivity to DNA-damaging agents.
