|Application ||WB, E|
|Calculated MW||106925 Da|
|Antigen Region||807-836 aa|
|Other Names||Pre-mRNA-processing factor 6, Androgen receptor N-terminal domain-transactivating protein 1, ANT-1, PRP6 homolog, U5 snRNP-associated 102 kDa protein, U5-102 kDa protein, PRPF6, C20orf14|
|Target/Specificity||This PRPF6 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 807-836 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human PRPF6.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||PRPF6 Antibody (C-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Involved in pre-mRNA splicing as component of the U4/U6- U5 tri-snRNP complex, one of the building blocks of the spliceosome. Enhances dihydrotestosterone-induced transactivation activity of AR, as well as dexamethasone-induced transactivation activity of NR3C1, but does not affect estrogen-induced transactivation.|
|Cellular Location||Nucleus, nucleoplasm. Nucleus speckle. Note=Localized in splicing speckles|
|Tissue Location||Widely expressed.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
PRPF6 is involved in pre-mRNA splicing. May act in the tri-snRNP complex as a bridging factor between U5 and U4/U6 snRNPs in the late step of spliceosome assembly. May be necessary for tri-snRNP formation.
