|Antigen Region||140-167 aa|
|Other Names||Guanylate-binding protein 5, GBP-TA antigen, GTP-binding protein 5, GBP-5, Guanine nucleotide-binding protein 5, GBP5|
|Target/Specificity||This GBP5 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 140-167 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human GBP5.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||GBP5 Antibody (N-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||As an activator of NLRP3 inflammasome assembly, plays a role in innate immunity and inflammation. Promotes selective NLRP3 inflammasome assembly in response to microbial and soluble, but not crystalline, agents (PubMed:22461501). Hydrolyzes GTP, but in contrast to other family members, does not produce GMP (PubMed:20180847).|
|Cellular Location||Cytoplasm. Golgi apparatus membrane; Lipid- anchor|
|Tissue Location||Expressed in peripheral blood monocytes (at protein level).|
