Format | Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification. |
Storage | Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
Precautions | Mouse Hoxa9 Antibody (Center) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. |
Name | Hoxa9 |
---|---|
Synonyms | Hox-1.7, Hoxa-9 |
Function | Sequence-specific transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis. Required for induction of SELE/E-selectin and VCAM1 on the endothelial cell surface at sites of inflammation (By similarity). Positively regulates EIF4E- mediated mRNA nuclear export and also increases the translation efficiency of ODC mRNA in the cytoplasm by competing with factors which repress EIF4E activity such as PRH (PubMed:15657436). |
Cellular Location | Nucleus {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:P31269}. Cytoplasm {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:P31269} |
Tissue Location | Expressed in high level in the embryonic and adult spinal cord with a preference in the posterior region |
