|Application ||WB, E|
|Calculated MW||58703 Da|
|Antigen Region||485-514 aa|
|Other Names||ETS domain-containing transcription factor ERF, Ets2 repressor factor, PE-2, ERF|
|Target/Specificity||This ERF antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 485-514 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human ERF.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||ERF Antibody (C-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Potent transcriptional repressor that binds to the H1 element of the Ets2 promoter. May regulate other genes involved in cellular proliferation. Required for extraembryonic ectoderm differentiation, ectoplacental cone cavity closure, and chorioallantoic attachment (By similarity). May be important for regulating trophoblast stem cell differentiation (By similarity).|
|Tissue Location||Highest levels in testis, ovary, pancreas, and heart.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
Members of the ETS family of transcription factors, such as ERF, regulate cell proliferation and differentiation. They share a highly conserved DNA-binding domain, the ETS domain, that recognizes the sequence GGAA/T (de Castro et al., 1997 [PubMed 9192842]). For further information on ETS transcription factors, see ETS1 (MIM 164720).
