|Application ||WB, E|
|Calculated MW||55341 Da|
|Other Names||Hemogen, Erythroid differentiation-associated gene protein, EDAG-1, Hemopoietic gene protein, Negative differentiation regulator protein, HEMGN, EDAG, NDR|
|Target/Specificity||This HEMGN antibody is generated from a rabbit immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 355-389 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human HEMGN.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||HEMGN Antibody (C-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Regulates the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. Overexpression block the TPA-induced megakaryocytic differentiation in the K562 cell model. May also prevent cell apoptosis through the activation of the nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kB).|
|Tissue Location||Expressed in hematopoietic precursor cells, thyroid and spermatids (at protein level). Expressed in bone marrow, testis, thymus. Expressed in prostate cancer and ovarian cancer. Also expressed in thymus and thyroid tumors, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, various leukemia cell lines, peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and bone marrow mononuclear cells (BMMCs) of patients with leukemia.|
