|Application ||WB, IHC-P, E|
|Other Accession||Q4R5P6, NP_006132.1|
|Calculated MW||54099 Da|
|Antigen Region||152-180 aa|
|Other Names||Cytoplasmic dynein 1 light intermediate chain 2, Dynein light intermediate chain 2, cytosolic, LIC-2, LIC53/55, DYNC1LI2, DNCLI2, LIC2|
|Target/Specificity||This DYNC1LI2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 152-180 amino acids from the Central region of human DYNC1LI2.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||DYNC1LI2 Antibody (Center) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Acts as one of several non-catalytic accessory components of the cytoplasmic dynein 1 complex that are thought to be involved in linking dynein to cargos and to adapter proteins that regulate dynein function. Cytoplasmic dynein 1 acts as a motor for the intracellular retrograde motility of vesicles and organelles along microtubules. May play a role in binding dynein to membranous organelles or chromosomes.|
|Cellular Location||Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton.|

Cytoplasmic dynein is a microtubule-associated motor protein (Hughes et al., 1995 [PubMed 7738094]). See DYNC1H1 (MIM 600112) for general information about dyneins.
