|Other Accession||NP_001139580.1, NP_001139581.1, NP_036344.2|
|Calculated MW||35870 Da|
|Antigen Region||177-205 aa|
|Other Names||Prostaglandin reductase 1, PRG-1, 131-, 15-oxoprostaglandin 13-reductase, NADP-dependent leukotriene B4 12-hydroxydehydrogenase, PTGR1, LTB4DH|
|Target/Specificity||This PTGR1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 177-205 amino acids from the Central region of human PTGR1.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||PTGR1 Antibody (Center) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Functions as 15-oxo-prostaglandin 13-reductase and acts on 15-oxo-PGE1, 15-oxo-PGE2 and 15-oxo-PGE2-alpha. Has no activity towards PGE1, PGE2 and PGE2-alpha (By similarity). Catalyzes the conversion of leukotriene B4 into its biologically less active metabolite, 12-oxo-leukotriene B4. This is an initial and key step of metabolic inactivation of leukotriene B4.|
|Tissue Location||High expression in the kidney, liver, and intestine but not in leukocytes.|
