This ACDC antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 51~81 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human ACDC.
Dilution
WB~~1:50~100
IHC~~1:50~100
Format
Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Precautions
ACDC Antibody (N-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

ACDC Antibody (N-term) - Protein Information

Name ADIPOQ
Synonyms ACDC, ACRP30, APM1, GBP28
Function
Important adipokine involved in the control of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, with direct anti-diabetic, anti-atherogenic and anti-inflammatory activities. Stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in the liver and the skeletal muscle, enhancing glucose utilization and fatty-acid combustion Antagonizes TNF-alpha by negatively regulating its expression in various tissues such as liver and macrophages, and also by counteracting its effects. Inhibits endothelial NF-kappa-B signaling through a cAMP-dependent pathway. May play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis and tissue remodeling by binding and sequestering various growth factors with distinct binding affinities, depending on the type of complex, LMW, MMW or HMW
Cellular Location
Secreted.
Tissue Location
Synthesized exclusively by adipocytes and secreted into plasma

ACDC Antibody (N-term) - Application data

  • Western blot analysis of ACDC antibody (N-term) (Cat.# AP6531a) in NCI-H460 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). ACDC (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

  • (LEFT)Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma with ACDC Antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. (RIGHT)Flow cytometric analysis of NCI-H292 cells using ACDC Antibody (N-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.

BACKGROUND

ACDC is expressed in adipose tissue exclusively. It is a protein with similarity to collagens X and VIII and complement factor C1q. The protein circulates in the plasma and is involved with metabolic and hormonal processes.
