GZMB Antibody (C-term)

Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Pab)

  • WB - GZMB Antibody (C-term) AP6575B
Western blot analysis of GZMB Antibody (C-term) (Cat. #AP6575b) in HL-60 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). GZMB (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.
  • IHC-P - GZMB Antibody (C-term) AP6575B
GZMB Antibody (C-term) (Cat. #AP6575b) IHC analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human Lymph tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the GZMB Antibody (C-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
  • FC - GZMB Antibody (C-term) AP6575B
GZMB Antibody (C-term) (Cat. #AP6575b) flow cytometric analysis of HL-60 cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
  • WB - GZMB Antibody (C-term) AP6575B
Western blot analysis of GZMB (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal GZMB Antibody (C-term) (Cat. #AP6575b). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the GZMB gene.

Target/Specificity This GZMB antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 175-203 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human GZMB.
Dilution WB~~1:1000
Format Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
StorageMaintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
PrecautionsGZMB Antibody (C-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Protein Information
Synonyms CGL1, CSPB, CTLA1, GRB
Function This enzyme is necessary for target cell lysis in cell- mediated immune responses. It cleaves after Asp. Seems to be linked to an activation cascade of caspases (aspartate-specific cysteine proteases) responsible for apoptosis execution. Cleaves caspase-3, -7, -9 and 10 to give rise to active enzymes mediating apoptosis.
Cellular Location Cytoplasmic granule. Note=Cytoplasmic granules of cytolytic T-lymphocytes and natural killer cells

Cytolytic T lymphocytes (CTL) and natural killer (NK) cells share the remarkable ability to recognize, bind, and lyse specific target cells. They are thought to protect their host by lysing cells bearing on their surface 'nonself' antigens, usually peptides or proteins resulting from infection by intracellular pathogens. The protein is crucial for the rapid induction of target cell apoptosis by CTL in cell-mediated immune response.
