Alanyl-tRNA synthetase 2 (AARS2) Antibody(C-term) - Protein Information | |
| Name AARS2 | |
| Synonyms AARSL, KIAA1270 | |
| Function Catalyzes the attachment of alanine to tRNA(Ala) in a two-step reaction: alanine is first activated by ATP to form Ala- AMP and then transferred to the acceptor end of tRNA(Ala). Also edits incorrectly charged tRNA(Ala) via its editing domain (By similarity) | |
| Cellular Location Mitochondrion. | |

Alanyl-tRNA synthetase 2 (AARS2) Antibody(C-term) - Application data
-
Western blot analysis of anti-AARS2 Pab (Cat.#AP7559b) in SK-BR-3 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).AARS2 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab (1:60 dilution).
-
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma tissue reacted with AARS2 antibody (C-term) (Cat.#AP7559b), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

BACKGROUND
Alanyl-tRNA synthetase 2 (AARS2) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction: ATP + L-alanine + tRNAAla <---> AMP + diphosphate + L-alanyl-tRNAAla. This enzyme participates in alanine and aspartate metabolism and aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis.
