Background
Transfers 1,4-N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) from UDP-GalNAc to the non-reducing end of glucuronic acid (GlcUA). It is required for addition of the first GalNAc to the core tetrasaccharide linker and for elongation of chondroitin chains.
