AKAP8 Antibody (C-term) - Application data

  • Western blot analysis of AKAP8 Antibody (C-term) (Cat. #AP9314b) in HepG2 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). AKAP8 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

  • Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human testis tissue reacted with AKAP8 Antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

  • AKAP8 Antibody (C-term) (Cat. #AP9314b) flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.

BACKGROUND

AKAP8 are a group of structurally diverse proteins, which have the common function of binding to the regulatory subunit of protein kinase A (PKA) and confining the holoenzyme to discrete locations within the cell. This protein encodes a member of the AKAP family. The encoded protein is located in the nucleus during interphase and is distinctly redistributed during mitosis. This protein has a cell cycle-dependent interaction with the RII subunit of PKA.
