|Application ||WB, IHC-P, FC, E|
|Calculated MW||17663 Da|
|Antigen Region||16-45 aa|
|Other Names||Mitotic spindle-associated MMXD complex subunit MIP18, MSS19-interacting protein of 18 kDa, Protein FAM96B, FAM96B, MIP18|
|Target/Specificity||This FA96B antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 16-45 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human FA96B.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||FA96B Antibody (N-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Component of the cytosolic iron-sulfur protein assembly (CIA) complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates the incorporation of iron-sulfur cluster into extramitochondrial Fe/S proteins. As part of the mitotic spindle-associated MMXD complex it plays a role in chromosome segregation, probably by facilitating iron-sulfur cluster assembly into ERCC2/XPD.|
|Cellular Location||Nucleus. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, spindle|
